A total of nine Test matches are scheduled for the rest of the year. Find the remaining World Test Championship schedule for 2025.

The 2025-27 WTC cycle started on June 17. Since then, 13 Test matches have been played in the edition. Australia have been the team to beat so far, remaining unbeaten in their three Tests. New Zealand’s two Tests against Zimbabwe in July and August don’t count as WTC matches, so they are yet to play a game in the 2025-27 edition. However, they will end the year with a Test series against the West Indies. Here is the schedule for the rest of 2025.

India vs South Africa (India) – 2

November 2025

The series opener on November 14 is set to be played at the iconic Eden Gardens, the first Test at the venue in six years. The second Test will be played at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. The Guwahati venue will make its Test debut, having previously hosted six limited-overs matches (two ODIs and four T20Is) between 2017 and 2023.

Australia vs England (Australia) – 5 Tests

November 2025-December 2026

The five-Test series will be played Down Under between November and January, across Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney. While Australia have remained competitive during their recent away Ashes with 2-2 draws in both 2019 and 2023, England have struggled with their last win on English soil coming in 2011.

New Zealand vs West Indies (New Zealand) – 2 Tests

West Indies will tour New Zealand for a multi-format series, including three Tests between December 2 and 22. The matches will be held in Christchurch, Wellington, and Mount Maunganui. The Test series will be preceded by five T20Is between November 5 and 13, and three ODIs between November 16 and 22.

The two teams will be playing a Test match for the first time since 2020, when New Zealand completed a 2-0 series clean sweep at home. Meanwhile, the West Indies’ last Test series win over their opponents was in 2012, when they achieved a similar result in their own backyard.
