Both teams have played a game each: New Zealand defeated South Africa, while Zimbabwe fell short against them in the series opener.
It's a tall ask for Zimbabwe, who are yet to beat New Zealand in a T20I ever, with the Kiwis winning all six games since 2010.
They lost by five wickets to SA, managing only 141 in the first innings, succumbing to the spin ot George Linde.
In response, they ran into a red-hot Dewald Brevis, with debutant Rubin Hermann doing his bit to take them over the line.
New Zealand found a new hero in Tim Robinson, who cracked 75 against SA, laying the platform for their 21-run win.
