The 14th edition of the Asian Games is set to begin on September 24, 2023 – here’s all you need to know about where to watch the cricket at the games, including the schedule, TV channels and streaming options.

The women’s cricket competition is already underway with the semi finals scheduled to take place this weekend (Sunday, September 24). India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are the sides still in the women’s competition. The men’s competition is yet to start but will get up and running next week (Wednesday, September 27).

The first rounds of competition in the men’s competition will be played between Nepal, Mongolia, Japan, Cambodia, Singapore, The Maldives, Thailand and Hong Kong, China. After this round is complete, the four sides who win their matches will face the seeded sides (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh) in the quarter finals.

Cricket became a sport in the Asian Games in 2010, with matches played in T20 format. Bangladesh won the gold medal in the 2010 men’s competition while Sri Lanka took home gold in 2014. Cricket was not featured in the 2014 Asian Games.

Pakistan women have won both editions of the event at the games, beating Bangladesh in the final twice.
