The player draft ahead of the upcoming BBL & WBBL seasons is set to take place today (June 19). Here are all the live updates from the event.
The BBL and WBBL drafts for this year have seen several overseas stars sign up, including the likes of England Test great James Anderson and a whole host of Pakistani stars including Shaheen Afridi, Sahibzada Farhan and more. Babar Azam will not be in the draft, having been signed up by Sydney Sixers as their one allowed overseas pre-signing.

In the WBBL draft, Pakistan T20I skipper Fatima Sana is expected to be one of the most in-demand players, given her all-round skillset. England's Sophie Ecclestone and Sophia Dunkley should also receive contracts, as well as West Indies' Chinelle Henry who impressed in this year's Women's Premier League.
The morning of the draft has seen a blow to the league though, with star West Indies all-rounder Hayley Matthews ruled out of the competition as she undergoes shoulder surgery later this year. Her franchise, Melbourne Renegades, will be allowed to draft an effective replacement in today's draft.

Just minutes ahead of the draft, new England skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt has been unveiled as the Hobart Hurricanes' pre-draft signing.
Renegades lose Hayley Matthews
The West Indies star will be undergoing surgery later this year, and will not be available for Melbourne Renegades this season.
They will have the opportunity to draft a replacement today.
