
India have included Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Suryavanshi in their Under-19 squad for the upcoming tour of England.

The India Under-19s will tour England for five “ODIs” and two four-day “Tests” from June 24 to July 23, 2025. Mumbai batter Mhatre, who became a sensation at the top for the Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2025, has been named captain. Wicketkeeper Abhigyan Kundu has been named his deputy.
From six games in IPL 2025, 17-year-old Mhatre has 187 runs at 34.33 and a strike rate of 188 including a 48-ball 94 against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. In List A cricket, he averages 65.42 across seven innings, which include scores of 181 and 148. He also has two first-class hundreds.
Also part of the squad is Bihar’s 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who became the youngest to earn a deal, play, make a fifty, and make a hundred in the IPL – during his stint for the Rajasthan Royals in the 2025 edition. In October 2024, he had hit a 58-ball hundred in a “Test” against the Australia U19s.
