Udhav Mohan, recently selected for India’s Under-19 squad, claimed a five-wicket haul in a DPL 2025 match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday (August 5).
Udhav was bought by Purani Delhi 6 for INR 6.60 lakh in the 2025 DPL auction. In his first match of the season against Outer Delhi Warriors (ODW), he stole the show immediately. ODW were flying at one stage, reaching 45 in just 5.2 overs. However, two wickets each from Rajneesh Dadar and Pardeep Parashar applied the brakes, reducing them to 78-4.
The 18-year-old Udhav then ran through the lower order, claiming five of the remaining six wickets. Number 11 Suyash Sharma was the last to fall, run out off the final ball of the innings as ODW were bowled out for 148. Udhav finished with exceptional figures of 5-26 from his four overs.

In response, PD crumbled during their chase, skittled out for just 66 in 14.3 overs. Suyash Sharma’s wrist spin proved to be the wrecking ball, dismantling the opposition with figures of 4-17, while Shaurya Malik provided strong support with 3-10. Despite Udhav’s five-wicket haul earlier, PD fell short by 82 runs.
Who is Udhav Mohan?
Udhav, a lanky seam bowler from Delhi, is a product of the West Delhi Cricket Academy – the same institution that shaped Virat Kohli’s formative years under childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma. He enjoyed a stellar Cooch Behar Trophy campaign, India’s premier U19 red-ball competition. Representing Delhi, he claimed 28 wickets at an average of 20.85, the highest tally for his side.
He attended a National Cricket Academy (NCA) camp in July and impressed the coaches with his performances. His hard work finally paid off when he earned a call-up to India’s U19 squad for their multi-format tour of Australia in September-October.
