Ashutosh Sharma followed up his debut century in England club cricket with consecutive half-centuries in the 2025 Liverpool and District Cricket Competition.
Ashutosh made an immediate impact in his club cricket debut in England, scoring a 70-ball century for Wigan Cricket Club. Batting at No.5 against Formby CC in his first game last month, Sharma hit 100 runs off 73 deliveries. He had arrived in the UK earlier that morning and was included directly in the playing XI.
In the following game against Wallasey Cricket Club, Ashutosh contributed 42 runs from 30 balls, as the team managed only 111 in 30 overs.
He then recorded back-to-back fifties in the matches that followed. Against Birkenhead, he batted at No.4 and scored 65 runs off 41 deliveries. His innings included five sixes and came at a strike rate of 158.54. No other batter in the Wigan side crossed the 30-run mark in that match, and the team was bowled out for 142.
Over the recent weekend, Sharma scored another half-century. Facing Rainford CC, he made 58 runs off 46 deliveries, once again finishing as the top-scorer of the innings as Wigan posted a total of 211 in 38.1 overs.
Wigan currently stand ninth in the league table out of 12 teams.
