Ireland and New Zealand will face off in a one-off Test at Belfast from May 27. Here are the squads for the match.
This one-off Test serves as a pre-cursor to New Zealand's tour of England later this summer. It will be the first meeting of Ireland and New Zealand in Test cricket, having already played each other in seven ODIs and five T20Is. New Zealand were also meant to tour Ireland for three ODIs and three T20Is in mid-2020, a series that was eventually cancelled due to Covid-19.

Ireland are struggling with multiple injuries ahead of this Test; Gavin Hoey, Paul Stirling, Barry McCarthy, Jordan Neill, Josh Little and Curtis Campher are all out with various issues.
Four uncapped players – Jake Egan, Tom Mayes, Liam McCarthy and Reuben Wilson – have made the squad. McCarthy has played four white-ball internationals and Mayes has played two ODIs, while 19-year-old Wilson represented Ireland at this year's U19 World Cup. He and opener Jake Egan made their first-class debuts last week; Egan scored 120 in his first innings.
For the Black Caps, stalwart Kane Williamson will be back in action – he spent the last couple of months as a strategic advisor for IPL team Lucknow Super Giants. Fast bowler Kyle Jamieson also returns to the red-ball scheme of things after missing the West Indies series late last year. His last Test was in February 2024 against South Africa. The prospect of seeing Jamieson and Will O'Rourke bowling in tandem could become a reality now.
Batter Will Young and pacers Ben Sears, Michael Rae and Kristian Clarke are in the Test squad only for the Ireland series. The remaining players will head to England following this Test. Mitchell Santner continues to recover from an injury sustained in the IPL, and may return to the Test squad in England.
