Bangladesh defeated Ireland 2-0 in a two-match Test series at home: here are the updated ICC men's Test team rankings after the BAN vs IRE series.

Bangladesh won the second Test by 217 runs to seal a 2-0 series sweep. Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam was the standout performer with the ball, claiming an eight-wicket match haul (4-76 and 4-104) and becoming the first Bangladesh bowler to reach 250 Test wickets.

Bangladesh posted 476 in the first innings, powered by centuries from Mushfiqur Rahim (106) and Litton Das (128). Ireland replied with 265. In their second innings, Bangladesh declared at 297-4 after fifties from Mahmudul Hasan Joy (60), Shadman Islam (78), Mominul Haque (87) and Rahim (53*). Chasing 509, Ireland were dismissed for 291.

Joy was the hero in the first Test, scoring 171 in Bangladesh’s 587–8 declared. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto also struck a century. Ireland replied with 286 and 254 in their two innings, slipping to an innings-and-47-run defeat. Taijul, the leading wicket-taker in the two Tests with 13 scalps at 26.30, was adjudged Player of the Series.
