Jordan Hermann scored his third century of the domestic season in the final of the CSA Four-Day Series on Wednesday.
Jordan Hermann tons up in Division 1 final
Hermann opened the batting for the DP World Lions (Eastern Province) against the Warriors (Gauteng) in the Division 1 final that began on Wednesday (February 18). He lost opening partner Modiri Litheko after a 68-run opening stand, shortly before pulling Beyers Swanepoel for four to record a half-century off 59 balls.

With support from No.3 JP King, Hermann continued to score swiftly. He was on 64 off 72 by lunch, and eventually got to a seventh first-class century off 122 deliveries; again with a boundary off Swanepoel, this time straight down the ground. He was dismissed by the same bowler for 110, as the right-arm quick trapped the left-hander lbw from around the wicket.
The 24-year-old Hermann, brother of South Africa international Rubin, played a key part in Sunrisers Eastern Cape's SA20 title this season, scoring 273 runs batting in the middle order, and taking home the Rising Star of the season award.
His form at the start of this first-class season was patchy, as he recorded three ducks in his first three games, and seven scores of under 20 in his first eight innings. The latter half of the campaign has been far more productive for him; his last six outings have produced two centuries and one score in the nineties. He also sits fifth in the Division 1 run-scoring charts, with potentially another innings to bat.
