The sixth edition of The Hundred is scheduled to commence from July 21 onwards, with MI London taking on Sunrisers Leeds across the men’s and women’s competition.
The men’s and women’s competitions of The Hundred, 2026 will be played simultaneously across eight venues across the United Kingdom. The schedule for both competitions has been announced, with the venues and timings for the Eliminator and Final yet to be announced.
The Hundred has seen multiple franchise rebrands, with the Oval Invincibles being renamed to MI London (after Reliance bought a 49 per cent stake, with the remaining 51 per cent with the Surrey Cricket Club). The Northern Superchargers and Manchester Originals have been renamed to Sunrisers Leeds and Manchester Super Giants respectively, after their recent acquisitions.
Moving away from the original draft format, the tournament implemented the auction format to pick players. As a result, the men’s salary pot increased by approximately 45 per cent.
Franchises are also allowed to have four overseas players in the side, one more than the previous limit of three. A new trophy system was also announced which combines the cumulative results of both the men’s and women’s teams across the season.
