Here's Wisden's team of the tournament for the Women's T20 World Cup 2026.
Danni Wyatt-Hodge - England
M: 7 | 302 runs at 60.40, SR: 149.50 | HS: 105*, 1 hundred, 2 fifties
England opener Danielle Wyatt-Hodge was in the form of her life. She scored a blistering century in the very first game of the campaign, and paired that up with a couple of brilliant fifties. Her 65 against the West Indies and the unbeaten 89 against New Zealand helped England cruise past their opponents.
Beth Mooney - Australia
M: 7 | 238 runs at 59.5, SR: 143.37 | HS: 74*, 3 fifties
Another prolific opener for the seven-time champions, Beth Mooney was instrumental at the top of the order for the Australians. She started off the tournament slowly, with scores of seven and 10 against South Africa and Bangladesh. But just as they say - one cannot keep class down for too long. In the next five matches, she scored three fifties, including one in the final against England.
Darcey Carter - Scotland
M: 5 | 208 runs at 52, SR: 111.82 | HS: 72*, 2 fifties
The Scotland opener grabbed the attention of fans with her blistering stroke play. In five matches at the campaign, she managed 208 runs with two fifties to her name. Her innings of an unbeaten 72 against New Zealand was the highlight of the tournament for Scotland.
Nat Sciver-Brunt - England
M: 4 | 227 runs at 113.5, SR 142.76, HS: 75, 2 fifties
The 33-year-old veteran could play just four games in the campaign, but she made her presence felt every single time. A recurring muscle strain in her left calf kept pulling her back. In four matches, she scaled 227 runs with two fifties under her belt - in the semi-final against South Africa and the final against Australia.

Elysse Perry - Australia
M: 7 | 198 runs at 49.5, SR 132.88, HS: 71 | 4 wickets at 7.5, Ec: 6, BBI: 2-9
One of the names that wouldn't need an explanation. Her contributions with bat and ball have been valuable for Australia for more than a decade. Her innings of 71 against Pakistan in the campaign was the highlight. Moreover, she also scored 56 against India to navigate a tricky chase.
Orla Prendergast - Ireland
M: 5 | 181 runs at 36.20, SR 125.69, HS: 63 | 6 wickets at 20.33, Ec: 6.10, BBI: 2/17
Orla Prendergast is starting to become one of the most trusted all-rounders. Her innings of 63 against the West Indies helped Ireland beat them in a low-scoring thriller, which was also their first-ever win at a women's T20 World Cup. Prendergast is known to strike the perfect chord between aggression and caution. To add to that, she also scalped six wickets with the ball, and bowled with a decent economy of 6.10.
Fatima Sana - Pakistan
M: 5 | 85 runs at 21.25, SR 110.38, HS: 55* | 11 wickets at 11.27, Ec: 6.95, BBI: 3/12
The Pakistan skipper has been one of the most instrumental player for quite a while now, with both her batting and bowling. In just five games this campaign, she struck 11 times, and was the joint-second-highest wicket-taker, alongside Sophie Molineux.
Marizanne Kapp - South Africa
M: 6 | 124 runs at 31, SR 142.52, HS: 81* | 8 wickets at 14.37, Ec: 5, BBI: 3/23
Marizanne Kapp is another one of those big-match players, who cannot be kept away from the action for too long. The highlight of her contributions in this edition of the T20 World Cup was an unbeaten 81 against India, which eventually helped the Proteas secure a semi-final spot.
Georgia Wareham - Australia
M: 7 | 7 wickets at 10.71, Ec 4.5, BBI: 3/13
Wareham started off brilliantly, from the very first game against South Africa. She bowled 16 balls, giving away just 13 runs in bargain of three wickets. Her ability to give the ball a lot of air tempts the batters to go for big shots, who are then caught in the drift. Having a leg spinner in the middle overs with an economy of 4.5 would be a positive for any skipper.

Sophie Molineux - Australia
M: 7 | 11 wickets at 14.72, Ec 6.75, BBI: 2/6
Well, speak of captains, and here's the World Cup-winning one! Sophie Molineux marshalled Australia to their seventh T20 World Cup title at the home of cricket. However, her contributions to their success with the ball were magnificent as well. Molineux provided important breakthroughs at important junctures of the game. Her dismissal of Alice Capsey in the final came at an extremely important stage, when she was just starting to put her foot on the pedal.
Shree Charani - India
M: 5 | 14 wickets at 8.35, Ec: 5.85, BBI: 4/19
Though India could not qualify for the semi-finals, Shree Charani spun a web against every team she faced. Right from the opening clash against Pakistan, Charani was in the game. She bagged 10 out of her 14 wickets in the first three games itself.
