Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 points table

Day three of the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup, which featured a double header at Edgbaston, saw Bangladesh beat the Netherlands in a close encounter and India easily overcome Pakistan. Here is what the group points tables look like after those results.

Debutants Netherlands fight but Bangladesh prevail

Bangladesh beat the Netherlands with six wickets and five balls in hand in the first game of the day. Despite Babette de Leede’s 45-ball 50, the Dutch could only reach 139-8 as no Bangladesh bowler went for more than eight an over. With 4-0-17-1, Ritu Moni was the most economical, while Marufa Akter claimed 2-31.

Juairiya Firdous, the 20-year-old opener, then led Bangladesh’s response with a 33-ball 50. All seemed over at 67-0 in the eighth over, but the Netherlands hit back, and Bangladesh slipped to 85-4. Sharmin Akhter (37 not out in 32) then saw Bangladesh home in the final over to get them two points.

India spinners strangle Pakistan

India won the second game by 64 runs to rise to second place in the Group A points table. They became 18-2, which prompted Smriti Mandhana (68 in 44) and Harmanpreet Kaur (36 in 35) to delay their onslaught. Richa Ghosh (34 in 17) then took India to 170-6 even as Sadia Iqbal (2-41) and Fatima Sana (2-33) shared four wickets.

Muneeba Ali (41 in 35) led Pakistan’s charge. They reached 38-0 in the fifth over, but Deepti Sharma (4-0-10-5) took two wickets in her first two (very economical) overs to derail their charge. As the other spinners, Shreyanka Patil (3-0-17-2) and Shree Charani (4-0-21-3) also became difficult to score off, Kaur got Shafali Verma (3-0-22-1) to bowl her leg-breaks. Pakistan’s last hope went when Verma took out Sana, who had probably left her entry point for far too late. Deepti returned with a triple-wicket over to finish the game.
