The ICC has announced the dates and venues for the 13th edition of the Women’s Cricket World Cup, which will be held from September 30 to November 2, 2025.

The tournament will be hosted across four venues in India: M. Chinnaswamy Stadium (Bengaluru), ACA Stadium (Guwahati), Holkar Stadium (Indore), ACA-VDCA Stadium (Visakhapatnam). The R. Premadasa Stadium (Colombo) will host Pakistan’s matches, amid growing tensions with neighbouring country, India.

The India team refused to travel to Pakistan for the men’s Champions Trophy earlier this year, playing all their games in Dubai instead. It was thereafter agreed upon that all matches featuring India or Pakistan hosted by either country between 2024 and 2027 would be played at a neutral venue. Political tensions between the two nations rose again last month.

The World Cup will begin with India playing the opening match in Bengaluru on September 30. The first semi-final will be held on October 29, either in Guwahati or Colombo, followed by the second semi-final on October 30 in Bengaluru. The final is scheduled for Sunday, November 2, and will be played either in Bengaluru or Colombo.

Earlier, it was reported that Mullanpur, in New Chandigarh, would host the final of the World Cup.

This year’s tournament marks the return of the 50-over Women’s World Cup to the subcontinent for the first time since 2013, when India hosted the event. The event will feature India, Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Australia are the defending champions, having beaten England in the final by 71 runs in 2022. They are also the most successful side, having won the tournament seven times, with England winning four times. New Zealand are the only other team to win the World Cup, back in 2000.
