A left-arm orthodox spinner, Iqbal Abdulla attracted public attention when he ran through Haryana's batting line-up with a five-for in a Twenty20 game. He represented Mumbai between 2007-15 in the Ranji Trophy and is currently plying his trade for Kerala. The left-arm orthodox bowler was included in the Indian Under-19 team for a Tri-series in Sri Lanka where he went on to become the third highest wicket-taker. Abdulla was also a part of the 2008 U-19 World Cup in Malaysia and his 10 wickets played a vital part in the title triumph.
A thinking bowler and a good lower-order batsman with sharp fielding skills, Iqbal started attracting the attention of other teams. A brief stint with Rajasthan ended with him joining a star-studded Bangalore team in the IPL where his team made to the finals.
