Left-arm spinner Kumar Boresa was picked by the Rajasthan Royals in 2013, after he was declared winner of the “Cricket Star Rajasthan 2012” – a talent hunt organized by the Royals along with a newspaper group.

Boresa, who plays for the Pali District Cricket Association, has represented the state’s Under-16 team in the Vijay Merchant Trophy in 2009 and 2010. The youngster impressed one and all with his fine spin bowling, all-round abilities and a disciplined approach towards the game. So impressive was he that the team management decided to offer him a full contract, instead of an internship, the initial grand prize.
