Biography

Peter Ingram is a right handed, hard hitting opening batsman. He plies his trade for the Central Districts in the New Zealand Domestic circuit and has been a heavy scorer for the side.

2008-09 was Ingram’s best season where he amassed close to 1000 runs. He earned recognition in a game where the Central Districts had to chase a massive total of 455 and he along with Jamie How put together a partnership of 428, where he contributed with 245 runs. That innings earned him a call-up to the Kiwi national side. In 2010, he finally made his international debut against Bangladesh. However, he wasn’t successful enough to earn a place in the 30-man preliminary squad for the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup.

Ingram finally called it quits and announced his retirement from first-class cricket in 2012, after he suffered an Achilles tendon injury in the HRV Cup.
