Biography

Rudra Pratap Singh is a talented left-arm seamer from Uttar Pradesh who has the special ability to swing the ball both ways. Coming from the small town of Rae Bareilly, he has made the most of the opportunities that have come his way. He first came into limelight during the 2004 U-19 World Cup in Dhaka. His 34 wickets in just 6 Ranji games earned him a call to the national team.

He is fondly called RP by teammates. Although Singh can go for runs, he makes it up by picking up crucial wickets. A lot of credit for India’s success in the inaugural World Twenty20 goes to RP Singh who was the second highest wicket-taker in the tournament. In the years to come, RP Singh will be the bowler to watch out for in world cricket.
