This quiz will test your knowledge on India’s triumphant 2011 World Cup campaign.

In 2011, a 28-year wait ended for the Indian fans when their team won their second ODI World Cup. When MS Dhoni hit the winning six at the Wankhede Stadium, India also became the second team to win a World Cup final on home turf. The fact that it came after the depressing low of a first-round exit in 2007 made the triumph even more special.

India began their campaign against co-hosts Bangladesh in Mirpur. In the league stage, they tied with England and lost to South Africa, but they won the other games without breaking a sweat to qualify for the quarter-finals. There, they beat three-time defending champions Australia, and followed that with triumphs over Pakistan and Sri Lanka to lift the trophy. Since they also beat the West Indies, they ended up winning against every former world champion in the same edition.
