In this quiz, you have to name every batter who has scored a hundred in each innings in more than one Test match.

At The Oval during the 1909 Ashes, Australian Warren Bardsley followed his 109 in the first innings with 124 in the second. By doing that, he became the first to score a hundred in each innings of a Test match.

The next instance took place at Durban in 1922/23, when Jack Russell made 140 and 111. It was not until 1929 that one of Russell’s compatriots became the first to achieve this in two separate Test matches: he had done it earlier in the Melbourne Test match of 1924/25.

A West Indian followed suit soon, with twin tons against England at Georgetown in 1929/30 and, in the last series before the Second World War, at Lord’s in 1939.

In 1978/79, an Indian opener did this twice in the same season – against Pakistan in Karachi and against the West Indies in Calcutta (now Kolkata). Since he had also got two hundreds in the Port of Spain Test of 1971, he became the first to have three twin tons. Two Australians – one in the 2000s, the other in the 2010s – have joined him since.
