Back in 1953/54 at Ellis Park, Johannesburg, Bert Sutcliffe hit the first four balls from the usually parsimonious Hugh Tayfield for six, six, dot, six before running a single. No.11 Bob Blair then hit the sixth ball for six. For the first time in the history of Test cricket, a bowler conceded 25 runs. It was an eight-ball over, but the 25-mark had been breached by the first six balls (Blair played out the last two anyway).
