Playing a hundred Test matches is no mean feat: no one did it in the first 91 years of international cricket. Then, during the 1968 Ashes, an English cricketer became the first to achieve this – and he celebrated the occasion with a hundred. Including him, only three cricketers scored a hundred in their 100th Test in the 20th century.

In 2002, a legendary Australian became the first to take a five-wicket haul in his 100th Test. In the 2005/06 season, an Indian took two five-wicket hauls, while an Australian hit two hundreds – both in their respective century of Test matches.
