In this quiz, you have to name everyone to lead Pakistan in men’s ODIs.

Pakistan played their first ever men’s ODI on their first ever New Zealand tour, in 1972/73. There, at Christchurch, they bowled out the hosts for 187 but made only 165 themselves. In this match, they were led by an all-rounder who had taken a wicket with his first ball in Test cricket, more than a decade before this ODI.

Pakistan became a formidable ODI unit from the mid-1980s, winning the Austral-Asia Cup in 1986, 1990, and 1994; the six-nation Nehru Cup in 1989; and the World Cup in 1992. A lull followed, and – barring the 2000 Asia Cup – these remained their last major wins until the 2017 Champions Trophy.
