The highly-anticipated World Test Championship final between Australia and South Africa is set to get underway at Lord's from June 11, and both teams announced their squads earlier this week.

Quiz! Helmets, caps, sunhats – how well do you know cricket’s various headgear?

The WTC, as it is now commonly known, is coming to the end of its third cycle and appears healthier than ever with prize money increasing significantly from the last two cycles.

It is, at present, Test cricket's only multi-team competition (even though it is made up of only bilateral agreements). But there have been attempts at this before.

The first multi-team tournament in Test cricket took place in 1912 – a triangular tournament between England, Australia and South Africa, the only three Test nations at the time. In the 1970s, Kerry Packer's World Series Cricket attempted to get another Test championship off the ground, but those matches were not even accorded first-class status.

Finally, the Asian Test Championship near the turn of the 21st century saw more than two teams compete. Along with the WTC, that makes three multi-team tournaments that are part of Test cricket, plus the 'Supertests' organised by Packer (which are not official Test matches).

This quiz tests how well you remember them. Good luck!
