This quiz will test your knowledge on unusual cricket teams.
The lowest team total in first-class cricket is six all out, but even that is perhaps not the most unusual aspect of that game, played at the Lord’s Old Ground in 1810. A team called The Bs were bowled out for that score by “England” (the non-Bs in the country, perhaps). The Bs were a team comprising cricketers names began with the letter B. However, the XI also had John Wells and James Lawrell: they could probably find only nine Bss, then.

This was certainly not the only unusual team in the history of cricket. Married vs Single, Over-30 vs Under-30, Smokers vs Non-Smokers were all followed keenly. There have been several recorded contests between one-armed and one-legged cricketers. In 1871, Lord’s hosted a game where one of the teams was called Fifteen Who Had Never Played at Lord’s.
