In the first game, Hindukush skipper Mohammad Asif won the toss and elected to bat first, with two inexperienced players opening the batting – 18-year-old Hassan Eisakhil playing in his third first-class match and 24-year-old Noor ul Rahman, his sixth.

The pair scored quickly, putting on 50 runs in 10.5 overs and 100 in 21.2 overs. Eisakhil dominated the scoring with 71 of those 100 runs, having reached a half-century off 52 balls. By lunch, he had reached 86, with Hindukush at 128-0.

Eisakhil completed his century in the second session, taking a double off the bowling of 17-year-old leggie Abuzar Safi. It came off 108 balls, with 12 fours and three sixes. He eventually made it to 128 off 139 deliveries before becoming the first wicket to fall, bowled by Bilal Sami.
