Australia are all set to host Bangladesh for a two-match Test series, and here’s where you can catch the action live.
Australia will play a Test match after a span of eight months, entering an important phase, wherein they will be playing 21 Tests across the next 12 months. Their most recent Test series was the famous 4-1 triumph against England at home.
Australia have named their playing XI for the first Test in Darwin, which includes the bowling quartet of Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins. They will be taking the field together for the first time after 13 months. The hosts will also be going in with two fast-bowling all-rounders in Cameron Green and Beau Webster.
On the other hand, Bangladesh will tour Australia for the first time in 23 years. A lot will be riding on the able shoulders of skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto. The visitors did not have a lot to show in the tour match against CA XI, but Shanto looked settled in the first innings with 37 to his name. Mehidy Hasan Miraz top-scored for Bangladesh with an astounding ton, finishing with an unbeaten 109 off 141 deliveries. However, Bangladesh were dismissed for 54 in the second innings.
The first Test, which is scheduled to begin on August 13, will be played at 10 am local time, whereas the second Test in Mackay on August 22 will also commence at 10 am local time.
