Bangladesh will take on New Zealand in a three-match T20I series starting April 27: here's how the ICC men's T20I team rankings look like ahead of the BAN vs NZ T20I series.
Bangladesh recently beat New Zealand 2-1 in the ODI series to hold on to their ninth position in the ICC men's ODI rankings. New Zealand remained at the second spot as well.
As far as T20Is are concerned, Bangladesh are placed at a similar position in the ICC men's T20I rankings – ninth – heading into the three-match series. New Zealand, on the other hand, are placed fourth, sandwiched between Australia at No.3 nd South Africa at No.5.
Defending champions India, who haven't played any T20I cricket since their triumph in the 2026 T20 World Cup, remain at the top of the rankings, followed by England, who India defeated in a semi-final for the ages.
Bangladesh and New Zealand have met in 20 men's T20I, out of which only four have been won by Bangladesh. Three of those four victories have come at home, which should give Bangladesh some confidence heading into the series.
It must be noted that Bangladesh were replaced by Scotland at the 2026 Men's T20 World Cup.
