Mohammad Haris century

Mohammad Haris scored a rapid hundred during the third Pakistan vs Bangladesh T20I in Lahore on Sunday (June 1).

After losing the first two T20Is, Bangladesh were put into bat by Pakistan in the third and they responded strongly. A 110-run opening partnership beween Tanzid Hasan (42 off 32) and Parvez Hossain Emon (66 of 34) gave them a solid platform. Cameos from others took the visitors to 196-6, setting up a stiff target for the hosts.

Pakistan lost Sahibzada Farhan in the first over of the chase, bringing Mohammad Haris to the crease at No.3. Haris started off with two consecutive fours off his first two balls. He raced off to 22 off 10, before hitting Khaled Ahmed for a six off the 11th ball he faced.

      Mohammad Haris scores Pakistan's second-fastest T20I hundred

Haris reached his fifty off 25 balls, in the 10th over, after which he went berserk. Off the next 19 balls he faced, Haris hit three fours and three sixes, before taking a couple off the 45th ball to reach his maiden T20I and international century.

After Hasan Nawaz's 44-ball ton earlier this year against New Zealand, Haris' effort is the second-fastest hundred by a Pakistan batter in T20Is. He finished unbeaten on 107 off 46 balls, having hit eight fours and seven sixes as Pakistan won by seven wickets to clean-sweep the series 3-0.
