Pakistan will host Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series from May 28 to May 31, 2025. Here are the full squad lists and injury news ahead of the series.
The series marks a fresh chapter for both sides as they rebuild in the run-up to the 2026 T20 World Cup. Originally planned as a mixed-format tour, with three ODIs scheduled, the series has been streamlined into solely a three-match T20I affair, to be hosted entirely in Lahore.
It marks the beginning of Mike Hesson’s tenure as Pakistan’s white-ball head coach, while Litton Das leads Bangladesh for the first time as full-time T20I captain.
What is Pakistan's squad for their T20I series against Bangladesh?
Pakistan’s squad reflects the continuation of a significant shift in their white-ball strategy, with Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi all omitted. Instead, the squad features several standout performers from the 2025 PSL, including leading run-scorer Sahibzada Farhan, as well as Hasan Ali – who took 17 wickets in the competition.
Hasan Nawaz and Muhammad Irfan Khan, still new on the international scene, are included, while Faheem Ashraf and Hussain Talat return to the squad. Aamir Jamal was originally in contention but has been ruled out with a back issue sustained during a County stint in England.
Pakistan squad: Salman Agha (c), Shadab Khan (vc), Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Faheem Ashraf, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Haris (wk), Hasan Nawaz, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Abrar Ahmed, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Wasim, Naseem Shah.
Who is in Bangladesh's T20I squad to tour Pakistan?

While several senior players return — including Najmul Hossain Shanto, Towhid Hridoy and Mustafizur Rahman — Bangladesh are without Taskin Ahmed (injury), Mehidy Hasan Miraz (rested), and Nahid Rana, who withdrew due to safety concerns.
