Mustafizur Rahman became the second-fastest bowler in history to take 400 T20 wickets, achieving the feat in the Bangladesh Premier League yesterday (January 2).

In Friday's BPL game, Mustafizur's Rangpur Riders were bowling first against Sylhet Strikers. Coming into the attack after Kyle Mayers and Al Islam, he dismissed opposition skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz in the Powerplay for his first wicket. Mustafizur returned at the death to get rid of Afif Hossain and Khaled Ahmed.
The dismissal of Mehidy was Mustafizur's 400th wicket in T20 cricket, making him the 11th bowler to reach the milestone after Mohammad Nabi had done so in the ILT20 the previous day.
Getting to the mark in 315 matches made Mustafizur the second-fastest ever to take 400 wickets, after Afghanistan great Rashid Khan (289 games). Imran Tahir, Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Amir are the other three to get to 400 in fewer than 350 matches.
