Jharkhand left-arm spinner Manishi equalled a first-class cricket world record by dismissing six batters via LBW in a single innings during the Duleep Trophy quarter-final between East Zone and North Zone.

Batting first at the BCCI CEG Ground, North Zone scored 405 in their first innings. Manishi was the pick of the East Zone bowlers, finishing with figures of 6-111. What’s worth noting is that all six of his wickets were LBW dismissals. His victims were Shubham Khajuria (26), Ankit Kumar (30), Yash Dhull (39), Kanhaiya Wadhawan (76), Auqib Nabi (44), and Harshit Rana (7).

Manishi now jointly holds the record for the most LBW dismissals in a first-class innings, sharing the feat with five others. Four of them – England's Ollie Robinson (2021), and Mark Ilott (1995), Pakistan's Tabish Khan (2011), and Sri Lanka's Chaminda Vaas (2005) – played Test cricket for their respective national teams.
