Both England and India players are expecting a result, with a draw far removed from their post-day four comments. Fast bowler Josh Tongue said: "[We will] just go for the win. That's the clear message in the changing room. It's just being as positive as we can. They're going to bowl well at times tomorrow. It's just crucial we soak up that bit of pressure and reapply it. I don't see why we can't chase that down."
KL Rahul, India's centurion in the second innings, agreed that his team would be pushing for a result: "There's definitely going to be a result. That's what England have said very openly, and their style of cricket suggests that as well. It gives us a good opportunity to pick up ten wickets. We know how they're going to come out and bat on day five."
It remains to be seen if rain has the final say.
