India A are set to play two unofficial Tests against England Lions and one match against the senior side in May-June. Here are the full squad lists for the series, including injury updates and replacements.
When will the India A tour of England start?
The first four-day match will be played between May 30 and June 2 at St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury. Following that, the two teams move to the County Ground in Northampton, where they will play between June 6 and 9.
The matches serve as a shadow series ahead of India’s 2025 Test tour of England. Several regulars from the main squad have been included. India A will then play an intra-squad match against the senior side between June 13 and 16 to help players acclimatise to the conditions before the main series.

India A have named Abhimanyu Easwaran as captain. Ruturaj Gaikwad, who led the side during their previous tour of Australia, has been included after being ruled out midway through IPL 2025 due to injury. Dhruv Jurel will serve as Easwaran’s deputy.
Nitish Kumar Reddy and Harshit Rana, both part of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy squad, have also been named. Karun Nair has earned a recall due to his strong domestic form, as has Ishan Kishan. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan will join the squad ahead of the second match.
Sarfaraz Khan, Karun Nair and Shubman Gill, all part of India A’s squad for the England tour, are being considered to replace Virat Kohli at No.4 in Tests.

England Lions last played an unofficial Test against Australia A earlier this year. They are yet to announce their squad, but Alex Davies, who captained the side in their previous outing, is expected to lead again. Players like Sam Cook and Shoaib Bashir are likely to retain their spots.
