India will face India A in an intra-squad game ahead of their England tour, starting on June 13. Here are the live updates from the clash.
India are gearing up for a five-match Test series against England, marking the beginning of their new World Test Championship cycle. The team, under the leadership of Shubman Gill, will be touring England, with the series set to commence on June 20. In preparation for the tour, the squad will participate in an intra-squad fixture against India A.
The warm-up match will take place at the Kent County Cricket Ground in Beckenham, starting June 13. It serves as a crucial opportunity for players to acclimatise to English conditions ahead of the high-profile series. Gill will captain the senior side, with Rishabh Pant named as his deputy, while India A will be led by Abhimanyu Easwaran, with Dhruv Jurel serving as vice-captain.
However, there will be no live streaming of the encounter, with the BCCI also banning media personnel from the venue. They said in a statement: "June 13- 16: Closed Intra squad game. No vision access to Media/Broadcast. On the final day of the squad game, a player/member of support staff will be made available to the media."
