Rain is expected to hamper the third England-West Indies ODI, being held in London today (June 3).

Rain is expected to hamper the third England-West Indies ODI, being held in London today (June 3). Here are the latest weather updates.

The start of the game was delayed after the West Indies team bus was held up in heavy traffic. There were also visuals of the England team arriving at the Oval on bikes due to road closures. The hold-up meant that the toss was delayed, and the match eventually began at 1.30 pm local time, half an hour after it was originally scheduled to start.

However, it might not be the only delay of the day, with rain also predicted throughout Monday in London.

Though England have won the series 2-0, the third game is of utmost importance to both sides, who are looking for direct qualification for the 2027 ODI World Cup. England and the West Indies are currently eighth and ninth in the ICC men’s ODI rankings, and with only eight teams (apart from South Africa and Zimbabwe) gaining direct entry into the event, they could be in a tricky situation. Each win, thus, is of importance.
