The 2026 U19 World Cup is set to kick off on Thursday (January 15), with Zimbabwe and Namibia to host the competition. Here is the full schedule of the tournament.
What is the 2026 U19 World Cup format?
The 16 participating teams have been divided into four groups of four each. The top three sides from every group after the first round will qualify for the Super Sixes, where 12 sides will be divided into two groups of six.
The top two sides from each Super Six group will then play the semi-finals, with the final scheduled for February 6. The four teams that finish at the bottom of their respective groups after the group stage will face off in a 16th-place playoff, with A4 and D4 facing off on January 24 at the HP Oval in Windhoek, while B4 vs C4 has been scheduled for January 26 at the Harare Sports Club.
What are the venues for the U19 World Cup 2026?
Five venues have been shortlisted for the tournament: Harare Sports Club (Harare), Takashinga Sports Club (Harare), Queens Sports Club (Bulawayo), Namibia Cricket Ground (Windhoek), and HP Oval (Windhoek).
The Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo will host the first semi-final, while the Harare Sports Club will host the second semi-final and the final.
