India wome's World Cup squad

India are set to announce their squad for the 2025 Women's World Cup on Tuesday (August 19): follow all the live updates from the press conference here.

When does the Women's World Cup start?

The 2025 Women's World Cup will be played between September 30 and November 2, across India and Sri Lanka. Apart from the hosts, the six participating sides are England, Australia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, New Zealand, and South Africa.

Australia are the defending champions, having won the 2021 World Cup by beating England in the final. India, whose best finish in the tournament's history has been runners-up (in 2005 and 2017), will look to capitalise on the home advantage - if at all it exists - to push for a maiden title.
