The 2025/26 International League T20 began on December 2 in Dubai. Here are the Australia and Pakistan players who are playing in the tournament.
The ILT20 2025/26 season kicked off with a rematch of last year’s final - Dubai Capitals vs Desert Vipers – and it was the Vipers who came out on top this time. They have also been the most in-form team so far in the tournament, and the only unbeaten side, with three wins in three games.
The Gulf Giants are second on the table with two wins in three games after a super-over defeat to the Vipers in their last match. The Capitals and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders have managed to register just one win each in their three outings. MI Emirates and Sharjah Warriorz are holding the bottom two spots, respectively.
As far as the participation of the Australia players are concerned, there is only one representative – Tim David, who is playing for Sharjah Warriorz. The swashbuckling batter has already left his mark despite his side’s struggles, having scored 73 runs in 31 deliveries – a strike-rate of 235.48, which is so far the best in the tournament.
On the other hand, there are three players from Pakistan: Fakhar Zaman, Hasan Nawaz and Naseem Shah. The trio are all representing the Desert Vipers, and have had mixed seasons so far.
After three innings, Zaman, opening the batting for the Vipers, has scored 39 runs at a strike-rate of 118.18. Middle-order batter Nawaz has managed just 14 runs in 13 deliveries. Naseem, meanwhile, has picked up just two wickets but has conceded runs at only 7.91 per over.
