The venues for the IPL 2025 playoffs have been announced, with Mullanpur and Ahmedabad hosting the last four games of the competition.

Originally planned for Hyderabad (Qualifier 1 and Eliminator) and Kolkata (Qualifier 2 and Final), the IPL playoffs' host cities were chosen based on the previous year's finalists. In keeping with IPL tradition, the cities that played the previous year's final – Hyderabad (SRH) and Kolkata (KKR) – were selected to host the playoffs. However, according to the latest IPL update, Mullanpur and Ahmedabad will now host the playoffs due to the “weather conditions and other parameters” in Kolkata and Hyderabad.

While there is heavy rain predicted in Kolkata in the first week of June, Accuweather also suggests nearly 75 per cent of showers with thunderstorms on May 29 in Hyderabad, the date of the first Qualifier.

The IPL final, which was to be held on May 25 earlier before it was suspended temporarily for ten days after cross-border firings between India and Pakistan, resumed again on May 17, with the final now pushed to June 3.

The IPL has also relocated the game between RCB and SRH to the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow due to incessant rains in Bengaluru. The match will be played on May 23.

Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Punjab Kings have already qualified for the playoffs, with Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals battling for the fourth spot.
