In Sunday's double-header, MI faced LSG at the Wankhede Stadium in the first match. The hosts were put in to bat, and scored an imposing 215-7, thanks to half-centuries from Ryan Rickelton (58) and Suryakumar Yadav (54).

LSG stayed lose to the required rate in the Powerplay, scoring 60-1, but once Nicholas Pooran was dismissed for 27, the innings began to fall apart. They slid to 110-4, and MI's bowlers were able to choke the runs, sending the required rate higher and higher. In the end, LSG were bowled out 54 runs short of MI's total, Jasprit Bumrah finishing with 4-22.

In the evening game, RCB asked DC to bat first in Delhi, and the home side put up 162-8 on a slightly two-paced wicket. KL Rahul top-scored with 41, but it was Tristan Stubbs 34 (18) at the end that provided the real impetus to the innings.

RCB were struggling at 26-3 in their chase after Axar Patel took two wickets in the third over, and Rajat Patidar was run out by a brilliant direct hit from Karun Nair. But Krunal Pandya (73*) and Virat Kohli (51) put on 119 for the fourth wicket, before Tim David finished the job with 19 off 5 balls.

      IPL 2025: Updated points table after MI vs LSG & DC vs RCB matches

      MI's victory sent them from fifth to second in the table, while LSG remained in sixth. However, MI have since been pushed down to third after RCB's win sent them to the top of the table, ahead of Gujarat Titans.

      They are now on 14 points, usually the threshold for teams to make the top four. With four matches still to play, RCB will now fancy their chances of qualifying as one of the top two sides.

      DC, meanwhile remain on 12 points, but slip from third to fourth thanks to the hit taken by their net run-rate.
