Today's IPL 2026 match: Who are the players to watch out for?

RCB vs GT, Bengaluru, 7.30pm local time

RCB are sitting pretty in third place, and a win on Friday will take them to second, above Rajasthan Royals. They are coming off a home loss to the Delhi Capitals, but expect the batters to make amends today. Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar did not have their best game, so there is every chance they will try to cash in here. With the ball, Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar remain as reliable and watchable as ever.

Gujarat's three-match winning run was snapped in ugly fashion as they were hammered by the Mumbai Indians last time out. Their bowling attack remains their strength; Kagiso Rabada was breathing fire at times in the last game, and Rashid Khan has shown glimpses of his best self through the season. Opener Sai Sudharsan has struggled this campaign – GT will need him to come good sooner rather than later.
