Irani Cup gets underway on October 1 as Jammu & Kashmir will face the Rest of India squad at the Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium in Srinagar. Here’s how to watch the fixture.
Jammu & Kashmir won the Ranji Trophy last season and will now be eyeing the Irani Cup trophy, played between the Ranji Trophy winners and a Rest of India side. Paras Dogra will lead them, but J&K will miss their best bowler, Auqib Nabi, who is part of the Indian team for the ODI series against the West Indies. Nabi was the highest wicket-taker of the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 season with 60 wickets.

Abdul Samad was the highest run-scorer for J&K in the Ranji Trophy, and all eyes will be on him this time around as well. J&K will also miss fast bowler Yudhvir Singh Charak, who is injured.
As for the Rest of India squad, Rishabh Pant will lead a strong unit while Sarfaraz Khan has been named his deputy. Last season’s top four run-getters in the Ranji Trophy, Ravichandran Smaran, Ayush Doseja, Sanat Sangwan and Sudip Kumar Gharami, have all been picked in the squad.
Mukesh Kumar, Mukesh Choudhary, Manav Suthar and Saransh Jain form the bowling attack for the Pant-led side.
