Ireland will host England for three T20Is from September 17

Ireland will host England for three T20Is from September 17. Here are the complete squad lists for both sides.

When and where will the IRE vs ENG T20Is be played?

The three T20Is will be played at the Village in Dublin on September 17, 19 and 21, with matches starting from 1:30 pm local time.

Both teams have met each other in T20Is only twice – at the T20 World Cups. In 2010, the match was abandoned due to rain, while Ireland emerged victorious in a group game in 2022. Batting first back then, Ireland made 157 before England managed 105-5 in 14.3 overs, losing the match by five runs by the DLS method.

The two teams resume their rivalry for the first time since their ODI series in 2023, when England won 1-0 after two matches were washed out. This is the first time since 2019 that England are touring their neighbours, having beaten them in a one-off ODI back then.

IRE vs ENG T20Is: Team news

England will be led by Jacob Bethell, who is set to become the youngest ever men’s captain for them. Jordan Cox, the player of the tournament in the 2025 men’s Hundred, has been added to the squad later on after his heroics helped Oval Invincibles complete a title hat-trick. In another latest rejig to the squad, Scotland seamer Scott Currie has been added as an injury replacement for Saqib Mahmood.

Ireland, meanwhile, will be led by Paul Stirling. They have handed a maiden call-up to 23-year-old wicketkeeper-batter Ben Calitz, who has previously played for Canada at the U19 level. Mark Adair, Josh Little, and Fionn Hand are some notable names to miss out due to injuries.
