PSL 2025 resumption

PSL 2025 is set to resume on May 17, the same day as the Indian Premier League following a ceasefire understanding between India and Pakistan.

Both the Indian Premier League and Pakistan Super League were suspended on May 8 as the military conflict between India and Pakistan heated up. However, with a ceasefire understanding been agreed upon on May 11, both the leagues are set to resume their seasons.

PSL 2025 to resume on May 17

Pakistan Cricket Board chair Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday (May 13) announced that PSL will resume on May 17, the same day the IPL is scheduled to resume.

"HBL PSL picks up from where it left off! 6 teams, 0 fear. Let the aura take over as we unite and celebrate the spirit of cricket. Get ready for 8 thrilling matches starting 17th May, leading up to the grand final on 25th May. Best of luck to all the teams!" wrote Naqvi in a post on X.

Quetta Gladiators are currently leading the PSL 2025 points table with six wins from nine games while Multan Sultans are at the bottom and out of the contention with one win from nine matches.

Four league matches remain, followed by four play-off games, the complete schedule for which is yet to be announced. The four remaining league games are between Karachi and Peshawar, Lahore and Peshawar, Islamabad and Karachi, and Multan and Quetta.

It is also unclear yet as to how many of the overseas players who left for their respective countries amidst the India-Pakistan conflict will return for these eight games.
