From the 2017 edition, the leading run-scorer of every season of the Pakistan Super League is awarded the Maroon Cap and the Fazal Mahmood Award.
The previous winners are Sohail Khan (2017), Faheem Ashraf (2018), Hassan Ali (2019), Shaheen Shah Afridi (2020 and 2022), Shahnawaz Dahani (2021), Abbas Afridi (2023), and Usama Mir (2024). Hassan’s 2019 record of 25 wickets remains a season record for the league.
PSL 2025 Maroon Cap: Top wicket-takers after today’s Lahore vs Multan match
Hassan Ali has overtaken Jason Holder to sit at the top of the charts, after his 3-33 against Quetta. Teammate Abbas Afridi has now moved into the top three as well, with two wickets in the same game.
Pakistan international Shadab Khan remains in fourth place with nine wickets, with Ubaid Shah climbing into fifth place for his two wickets against Lahore. Rishad Hossain, Abrar Ahmed, Ali Raza, and Shaheen Afirdi are all tied on eight wickets, while the tenth place is held by Imad Wasim.
