Quetta Gladiators had a game in hand when they booked a top-two spot in PSL 2025. Islamabad United, who had started with five wins on the trot, had slipped down the table after four consecutive defeats. However, a resounding win in their last game, against the Karachi Kings, helped them make it to the Qualifier 1.
The winner of the game will qualify directly to the final, to be played on May 25. The losing side will have to play the Qualifier 2, against the winner of the Eliminator, between KK and Lahore Qalandars. You can find the complete schedule for the PSL 2025 playoffs here.

QG started the season with two defeats in three games, but faced little problems for the remainder of the league stage. They won six of the next seven matches to storm into the playoffs, and will remain the team to beat in Qualifier 1.
IU’s has been a season of “momentum”: they followed five consecutive wins with four defeats on the trot (including both games against QG). Going by that, their win in the last league match might have triggered another streak.
