A third loss in a row has put Lahore's season in danger, with the defending champions now sitting second from bottom in the points table. They were bowled out for 100, 97 and 134 in these three games, having struggled massively in Karachi. Captain Shaheen Afridi remains their standout with the ball, but they need at least one (if not all) of Fakhar Zaman, Abdullah Shafique and Sikandar Raza to start putting some runs on the board.
Bottom-placed Rawalpindiz form the other half of today's basement battle – six losses out of six have ended their hopes of a playoff spot already. Pacer Ben Sears and all-rounder Saad Masood are perhaps the most in-form players on show for them. South African all-rounder Dian Forrester was left out after two good games; if he returns, he could be one to watch as well.
