PSL 2026: Who were the top performers in HK vs IU?
Hyderabad Kingsmen had started their maiden season with four defeats. However, they turned things around with wins on consecutive nights, against Karachi Kings on April 11 and Islamabad United on April 12.
IU posted 153-9 after being asked to bat first in Karachi. Devon Conway scored 45 in 31 balls and Mark Chapman 42 in 30, but they lost wickets in bunches to slip from 87-1 to 113-5, and then from 150-5 to 153-9. The last four wickets fell in first, third, fourth, and last balls of the 20th over to PSL debutant seamer Asif Mehmood, who was playing his first professional match since 2022.
Maaz Sadaqat (30 in 16 balls) led the charge for HK before Marnus Labuschagne(61* in 53) and Saim Ayub(35 in 26) helped HK inch closer to the target. In the end, they won with 11 balls and six wickets in hand.
