Peshawar Zalmi beat Hyderabad Kingsmen by PSL 2026 on Wednesday (April 8). Here's what the points table looks like after that result.
PSL 2026: Who were the top performers in HK vs PZ?
PZ were playing their first game since they had won their tournament opener, against Rawalpindiz on March 28. Their only other match, against Islamabad United on March 31, had been washed out. Playing after eight days, they added another two more points to their tally.
In the first match of the Karachi leg, HK raced to 26-0 in the third over before Iftikhar Ahmed (4-0-21-4) took out their top four in a seven-ball burst, leaving them reeling at 34-4. Captain Marnus Labuschagne (27 in 27) and Kusal Perera (58 in 35) then put on 80, but from 136-5, HK lost five wickets for nine runs to be bowled out for 145. This time Sufiyan Muqeem (4-0-32-4) took three wickets in four balls.
PZ lost six wickets to complete the chase off the last ball as Babar Azam top-scored with a 37-ball 45. There was a phase of nine scoreless balls (with two wickets) across the 17th and 18th overs when it seemed HK might pull it off. But with 14 to score off the last over, Iftikhar hit a four and a six to seal the game.
